Aging Strong

The Aging Strong program promotes healthy living through fitness classes and social events for area residents ages 50+. The program emphasizes the Keys to Aging Well: physical activity, connecting with others, mental fitness, and fall prevention. Offerings include multiple weekly low-impact exercise classes alongside monthly social events.

Balance & Stability Class

Every Wednesday 10-11 a.m. at the Waynesboro YMCA. Class meets in the lower gymnasium.

For Adults ages 50 & over.

Focused on improving balance, this chair and standing class uses chair support to advance cognition and fall prevention skills.

Movements focus on strengthening the ankle, knee and hip joints, while improving reaction time.

This class meets once per week on Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m. in the lower gymnasium.

Following the class is Aging Strong Social Hour at 11 a.m.

Please join us for a free Health Fair once per quarter.
