Stray Cats is Back!

We are thrilled to announce the return of our summer rec league swim team, the Stray Cats!

This program is perfect for kids ages 5-18 who are interested in competitive swimming.

Participants will learn the rules, receive preseason conditioning, coaching on stroke mechanics, attend weekly practices and compete against other local teams!

REGISTRATION IS OPEN NOW!!! 

• Waynesboro YMCA Members: $125
• Non-Members: $175

Age Groups:

• 5-10 years old, must be able to swim 25 yards free style.
• 11-18, must be able to swim 25 yards free style and 25 yards backstroke.

Team Evaluations

Not sure if your child is ready to make the jump from swim lessons to swim team?

We are offering free evaluations on April 21 and May 12 from 4-6 PM.

Potential swimmers can register for an evaluation online:

Once registered for an evaluation, we will send you an email with your evaluation time. Expect Evaluations to take 10-15 mins.

Preseason Clinics

Swimmers may attend our preseason clinics to begin learning the rules and working on the basics.

Expect some light exercise on dry land and an extended period of time in the water.

Preseason Clinics will meet May 13-29:

• 10 and Under Group– 4:00-5:00PM, Dry land 4:00-4:15, in the water 4:15-5:00
• 11-18 Group– 5:00-6:00PM, Dry land 5:00-5:15, in the water 5:15-6:00.

Season Begins June 3rd. Summer schedule TBA.
